We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join a dedicated support team for a young neurodiverse man in the Skelmersdale area. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead a small, person-centred team while making a genuine difference to someone's life.
He currently lives with his family and is preparing for an exciting transition into his own home in the West Lancashire area. As Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting him through this important stage of his life, ensuring consistency, stability and high-quality support as he develops greater independence.
You will lead by example, working alongside your team to provide outstanding, person-centred support that is guided entirely by his individual needs, goals and aspirations.
Support is at the heart of everything we do - not only for the people we support, but for our staff too. Through reflective practice, meaningful training and ongoing development, you'll be empowered to build a skilled, confident team that delivers exceptional support every day.
If you share our passion for individuality, choice, independence, citizenship, collaboration and equality, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, confident and motivated Team Leader to support a young autistic man who benefits from patient, consistent and structured support. He experiences anxiety and values support from people who are calm, trustworthy and able to build genuine, positive relationships.
He has a wide range of interests including volunteering at and visiting steam railways, spending time with animals - particularly dogs - going to the cinema, countryside walks and preparing meals. He is looking for someone who will actively encourage him to enjoy these activities while supporting him to develop confidence, independence and life skills.
As Team Leader, you will work directly alongside him while also leading and developing a dedicated support team. You'll promote high standards of care, ensure support is delivered consistently, and work closely with his family and professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.
The successful candidate will be compassionate, resilient, organised and an excellent communicator. You will be passionate about person-centred support, confident in leading others, and committed to creating an environment where both the individual and the staff team can thrive.
